Ferrari is now offering an upgrade service for steering wheel control buttons on select current models, replacing the previously criticized capacitive touch-sensitive buttons with physical ones. This move follows customer dissatisfaction with the touch-based design introduced on the SF90, after which the brand reverted to physical buttons on the Amalfi model. Today, authorized Ferrari dealers—such as Ferrari Atlanta—can directly install new steering wheel control modules featuring physical buttons on the Purosangue and 12Cilindri without requiring vehicles to be sent back to Italy. The new module retains the original appearance, converting only the menu, phone, and cruise control functions to physical buttons, while other controls—including traction control, wipers, and lights—remain unchanged. With this retrofit service, Ferrari becomes the first ultra-luxury automaker to offer such an upgrade, underscoring its commitment to customer feedback and premium service.
