According to a March 18 report, Samsung Electronics plans to begin mass-producing chips for Tesla in the second half of 2025 at its factory in Texas, USA. Although earlier reports suggested mass production might not start until 2027, Samsung has now confirmed it will move the timeline forward to the second half of 2025. This move marks a critical step in the partnership between the two companies in the automotive semiconductor sector and underscores Samsung’s strategic push to accelerate its presence in the smart electric vehicle chip market. As a global leader in electric vehicles, Tesla continues to see growing demand for high-performance, customized chips, and Samsung, with its advanced process technology, has become a key partner in meeting this demand.
