In a recent "Q&A with Netizens," Xiaomi Auto explained why it hasn't disclosed the "large deposit" (non-refundable reservation) figures for its new-generation SU7, stating that non-refundable "locked orders" provide a more accurate and objective reflection of user preference and endorsement. Since the launch of the YU7 last year, Xiaomi has switched to reporting locked-order data. Additionally, the new vehicle’s safety performance has been rigorously validated: during a head-on collision test conducted at 20% higher speed than the C-NCAP standard, the body structure remained intact, safety systems operated normally, and the battery showed no abnormalities. The entire new-generation SU7 lineup now features upgraded V6s Plus motors, delivering improved CLTC range—720 km for the Standard version, 902 km for the Pro version, and 835 km for the Max version. The Max variant achieves a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of approximately 3.15 seconds in real-world testing, with a braking distance of about 35 meters. Wheel choices affect driving range, and the fragrance diffuser requires a firmware update to version 0092 (scheduled for rollout in early April) to be compatible with the new fragrance cartridges.
