In response to rumors about "abandoning full electrification by 2030," Rolls-Royce Motor Cars China stated that the brand remains committed to its electrification strategy and will continue advancing its electric vehicle lineup, including the Spectre. Due to evolving global regulatory policies, the lifecycle of its V12 engine will be extended into the next decade, with no mandatory discontinuation planned for 2030. The company emphasized that its electric models have already gained market recognition for their silence, performance, and driving experience. However, customer preferences regarding powertrains remain polarized—approximately half still opt for the V12 engine, which symbolizes the brand’s heritage. As a niche ultra-luxury manufacturer, Rolls-Royce also benefits from greater regulatory flexibility, allowing it to dynamically adjust its technology roadmap in response to market demand and policy shifts.
