BYD is accelerating its "Flash Charging China" strategy, having built 105 new flash-charging stations within just six days from March 20 to 25. This brings its nationwide total to 4,990 stations across 292 cities—an average of 17.5 stations built per day. The company’s "Dream Station" initiative has received over 38,000 user applications and has already delivered 164 stations for 2,379 users. Notably, if four vehicle owners jointly apply and site conditions permit, BYD can complete construction within one week. Technologically, each flash charger delivers a peak power output of 1,500 kW per gun, and the dual-gun design allows simultaneous charging for two vehicles. Vehicles equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes and from 10% to 97% in only nine minutes—matching the refueling speed of conventional gasoline vehicles. BYD aims to operate 20,000 flash-charging stations by year-end, securing the largest EV charging network among Chinese automakers.
