On March 30, Geely Auto launched the Galaxy flagship plug-in hybrid sedan—the Xingyao 8 Far Voyager series—offering four variants with a manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) ranging from RMB 135,800 to RMB 161,800. A limited-time pre-sale price is available from RMB 125,800 to RMB 148,800. The new model is equipped with Geely’s next-generation "Shield Golden Brick" battery, delivering a pure electric range of 225 km and a combined range of up to 1,725 km. It supports ultra-fast charging, replenishing the battery from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes. Powertrain options include two versions: EM-i and EM-P, both offering a combined system output of 300 kW, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 6.35 seconds. The vehicle achieves an impressively low fuel consumption of just 3.32 L/100 km under low-battery conditions. Advanced intelligent driving features include a LiDAR sensor, 27 perception hardware units, and full-scenario urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) capability. Standard safety systems comprise blowout stability control and AES (Automatic Emergency Steering) for emergency collision avoidance. Design-wise, the exterior integrates Chinese cultural elements, while the interior features the “Galaxy Star Ring” cockpit, “Marshmallow SPA” seats, and rear VIP electric executive seats for a luxurious and comfortable experience. The Xingyao 8 also debuts two new exterior colors—“Sunrise Gold” and “Danxia Ore”—paired with a new “Starry Gray” interior theme.
