Chevrolet has issued a sales stop for certain 2025 and 2026 model-year C8 Corvettes due to a software issue in the rear brake lamp fault detection system, which may prevent drivers from knowing whether their turn signals are functioning properly. The system is designed to alert drivers to malfunctions in rear lighting, but the current defect impairs its ability to accurately report the status of the turn signals. General Motors confirmed that approximately 3,300 vehicles are affected—438 units of the 2025 model year and 2,886 units of the 2026 model year. Currently, only the 2026 models can be fixed via a software update, as there is no hardware fault. A solution for the 2025 models has not yet been announced. The sales stop is expected to be brief and sales will resume once the issue is resolved.
