Jiangsu Yueda Kia Motor Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting April 7, 2026, the company will recall 381 Kia EV5 all-electric vehicles produced between August 15, 2025, and October 24, 2025. The affected vehicles may experience abnormal signals from the power management integrated circuit inside the instrument cluster controller, which could cause the instrument display to freeze or result in a green screen appearing on the rear-side interface of the instrument display when the turn signal is activated, posing a safety risk. The company will resolve this issue by providing a free software update via over-the-air (OTA) upgrade for affected vehicles. For vehicles that cannot be updated through OTA, authorized dealers will contact owners to bring their vehicles in for service, eliminating the safety hazard.
