In Q1 2026, Leapmotor topped Italy's all-electric vehicle (BEV) market. In March alone, it registered 5,513 units, a year-over-year surge of 2,827%. For the first quarter, cumulative registrations reached 11,637 units, capturing a 33.5% share of Italy’s BEV market and a 44.6% share in the BEV retail passenger car segment. Specifically, the T03 ranked third among all vehicle models sold in Italy, while the B10 claimed the top spot in the electric C-segment SUV category. Domestically, Leapmotor delivered 50,000 vehicles across its entire lineup in March 2026, up 35% year-over-year and approximately 78% month-over-month. Total sales from January to March amounted to 110,200 units. The A10, launched on March 26, has become a key driver of growth. Priced between RMB 65,800 and RMB 86,800, it features LiDAR and advanced point-to-point parking assist capabilities, targeting the previously underserved RMB 60,000–100,000 price segment. Leapmotor aims to achieve annual sales of one million units in 2026, requiring average monthly deliveries of around 100,000 units thereafter. To support this target, its product portfolio is clearly defined: the A-series targets lower-tier markets, the B/C-series solidifies its core base, and the D-series pushes into premium segments. In April, the Lafa5 Ultra will debut at the Beijing Auto Show, and the flagship D19 model will launch globally on April 16. Internationally, Leapmotor is deepening its partnership with Stellantis Group, leveraging a “Chinese technology + European channels” model to rapidly scale in Italy. However, the European Union is considering extending its anti-subsidy tariffs—currently applied to Chinese BEVs—to plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), which could introduce uncertainty for future exports.
