Jeep has announced that it will unveil a new Grand Cherokee Trailhawk later this year. Details remain limited, but the new model is expected to carry over many of the off-road features found on the 2023 Trailhawk, including underbody skid plates, air suspension, a disconnecting front sway bar, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Previously, the Trailhawk was offered exclusively with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder plug-in hybrid powertrain, but Stellantis announced earlier this year that it would discontinue production of plug-in hybrid models. A teaser image reveals red tow hooks integrated into the lower front bumper, giving the vehicle a more aggressive look compared to the standard Grand Cherokee, along with a red "Trailhawk" badge on the hood. With the plug-in hybrid system now discontinued, the new Trailhawk is expected to be powered by Jeep’s new turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder Hurricane engine, which produces 324 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. Jeep still offers the base Grand Cherokee with a 3.6-liter V6 engine, though it has not confirmed whether this engine will be available for the Trailhawk variant. Jeep has not yet announced an exact launch date but stated that more information will be shared soon.
