Horizon will unveil its "Stellar" series chip solution on April 22, China's first integrated cockpit-and-driving AI chip. Featuring a single-chip, unified design, this solution consolidates the previously separate computing domains of intelligent cockpit and autonomous driving onto one chip, replacing the traditional architecture that required two domain controllers and two sets of independent hardware. By sharing memory and simplifying wiring harnesses and thermal management systems, the solution reduces hardware costs by RMB 1,500 to 4,000 per vehicle and optimizes overall vehicle spatial layout. Technologically, the chip centers on centralized computing, upgrading in-vehicle AI from a distributed model to a centrally integrated large model capable of unifying tasks across driving, cabin experience, and whole-vehicle control. It also supports an intelligent operating system with personality, skills, and memory capabilities, enabling long-sequence companion services such as learning user preferences, ordering meals, selecting seats, reserving parking spots, and processing payments.
