In early 2025, BYD launched its "God’s Eye" intelligent driving system, available in three versions—A, B, and C—covering its entire vehicle lineup from the entry-level Seagull priced at RMB 69,800 to high-end models. Starting in 2026, all new BYD vehicles will come standard with advanced intelligent driving capabilities. In the same year, XPeng introduced the MONA M03 Max, starting at RMB 129,800, becoming the first model in this price segment to offer urban navigation-assisted driving as a standard feature. It is equipped with dual Orin-X chips, delivering a total computing power of 508 TOPS. On the supply chain front, Horizon Robotics is set to mass-produce an urban navigation-assisted driving system based on a single Journey 6M chip, expected to be deployed in mainstream models priced around RMB 100,000. Meanwhile, QCraft has entered a high-volume delivery phase for 21 new vehicle models equipped with its assisted-driving system. Data shows that in the first three quarters of 2025, vehicles priced under RMB 200,000 accounted for nearly 70% of the market’s incremental deliveries featuring standard NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functionality, indicating that the adoption rate of intelligent driving has outpaced most prior industry forecasts. At the same time, LiDAR costs have dropped significantly, improving overall industry profitability—though some products still suffer from inflated technical specifications. Currently, competition centered on LiDAR performance parameters continues to intensify. Industry experts caution consumers against “specification obsession,” urging companies to strike a balance between cost and performance to drive intelligent driving forward—from being merely “affordable” to truly “well-utilized.”
