Toyota plans to invest over CAD 300 million over the next three years to build a new headquarters and two parts distribution centers in Canada. The new headquarters, located on Toyota’s existing Toronto Square site, will span approximately 20,900 square meters and consolidate sales, marketing, distribution, service, and training operations. It will also house Toyota Financial Services Canada, relocating from Markham. In Western Canada, Toyota will construct one parts distribution center each in Surrey, British Columbia, and Calgary, Alberta, replacing the current Richmond Parts Depot. The Surrey facility will occupy about 3.28 hectares with a building area of roughly 19,500 square meters, while the Calgary facility—situated near the airport—will cover approximately 5.46 hectares and feature around 20,400 square meters of building space. Both new distribution centers are expected to become operational by 2028, tripling parts storage capacity in Western Canada and significantly reducing delivery times to dealerships in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. All three new facilities are being designed to meet LEED v4 Gold certification standards for green buildings and net-zero carbon emissions, and will pursue Gold-level accessibility certification from the Rick Hansen Foundation. These efforts support Toyota’s global target of achieving zero emissions across all operations by 2050. The project aims to enhance service efficiency and collaboration capabilities for Toyota’s network of 287 dealerships nationwide.
