Mercedes-Benz Unveils Interior and Tech Specs for All-New Electric C-Class Sedan

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the interior design of its all-new all-electric C-Class sedan in the early hours of April 17, ahead of its global debut in South Korea on April 20. The new model features the MBUX Hyperscreen—a single, seamless display spanning the entire dashboard—mirroring the layout seen in the all-electric GLC. Officially described as a “driver-focused private space,” the design visually integrates into what appears to be one cohesive digital interface. The screen is expected to carry over specifications from the EQE-based GLC EV, measuring approximately 39.1 inches with around 10 million pixels, aiming to streamline user interaction while retaining select physical buttons on the center console and steering wheel as tactile supplements. Lower-trim variants will adopt a three-screen Superscreen configuration. Both setups support 10 ambient lighting modes. Interior material options include vegan-friendly surfaces, with premium leather trims and a Burmester 3D surround sound system available as upgrades. Front seats come equipped with electrically adjustable pneumatic lumbar support, massage, ventilation, and 4D audio functions, all integrated with the Energizing Comfort system. The climate control system employs a multi-source heat pump technology, delivering heating performance twice as fast as conventional internal combustion engine vehicles while reducing energy consumption by roughly 50%. Additional highlights include an optional “starry sky” panoramic sunroof, enhanced acoustic insulation, and a newly engineered seat structure. Exterior styling features an illuminated grille and star-pattern LED lighting elements. While the silhouette carries forward the aerodynamic lines of the EQE and EQS, adjusted front-to-rear proportions avoid the “teardrop” shape. The AMG Line variant will offer a more aggressive exterior package. Technologically, the vehicle is built on Mercedes-Benz’s 800V MB.EA platform—the same architecture underpinning the all-electric GLC. Based on the GLC EV’s specifications, the dual-motor setup delivers up to 483 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, paired with a 94 kWh battery pack for an estimated WLTP range of approximately 673 kilometers. Additionally, a mid-cycle refresh of the combustion-engine C-Class sedan is scheduled for launch later this year, positioning it as a direct rival to BMW’s Neue Klasse i3 sedan.
