Chery Group exported 943,817 vehicles in the first half of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 71.5%—equivalent to one Chery-branded vehicle being shipped overseas every 17 seconds on average. In June alone, exports reached 191,062 units, up 79.7% year-on-year, marking the fourth consecutive monthly record for Chinese-brand vehicle exports since March. During the same period, Chery accelerated its "Systematic Globalization" strategy, expanding its global footprint across operations, R&D, manufacturing, and standards. Its European Operations Center has commenced operations in Spain, overseeing local market operations and compliance matters, while Chery Commercial Vehicles established its European headquarters in Liverpool, UK. Concurrently, Chery’s R&D center in Spain has also become operational, focusing on electrification and smart mobility solutions, thereby completing its “1+7+N” globally integrated innovation network. On the manufacturing front, Chery finalized the acquisition of the Rosslyn plant in South Africa on July 3 and immediately launched production, retaining all 692 existing employees and generating nearly 3,000 additional jobs across the local supply chain. Localization of the supply chain has already begun. In terms of market performance, Chery sold a cumulative total of 138,843 vehicles in Europe from January to May 2026, surging 216.69% year-on-year. It ranked second in overall brand sales in the UK for three consecutive months, entered the top five in Australia’s overall market in May, and secured the second-highest sales position in South Africa during the January–May period. Multiple models achieved strong sales overseas: the Tiggo 7 surpassed 30,000 units in monthly overseas sales; the Tiggo 4 topped the charts in South Africa and entered Australia’s top ten monthly bestsellers; the JAECOO 7 became the best-selling model in the UK in a single month; and the JETOUR T2 was crowned South Africa’s Car of the Year. New energy vehicle (NEV) exports saw remarkable growth, rising 164.9% year-on-year in the first half. From January to May, Chery sold 68,949 NEVs in Europe—a staggering 458.62% year-on-year increase—meaning that one out of every two Chery vehicles sold in Europe during this period was a new energy model. Chery’s commercial vehicle segment reported a 146% year-on-year export increase in June. Meanwhile, its robotics business has sold over 1,000 units globally this year, reaching more than 50 markets. As of the end of June, Chery’s cumulative global user base exceeded 19.88 million, including over 6.78 million overseas users.
