On July 9, Suzuki submitted a recall report to Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) due to insufficient durability of engine bolts. The recall affects four models, including the Spacia and the FLAIR WAGON produced under the Mazda brand, totaling 500,500 vehicles. The affected vehicles were manufactured between January 2019 and July 2025. To date, 431 related malfunction reports have been received. The MLIT stated that the issue stems from the bolt fastening method and a design flaw; if the bolts break, it could cause the engine to stall unexpectedly. Suzuki will address the problem by replacing the affected bolts.
