On July 9, 2026, Chery officially unveiled the Fengyun A9 and launched its pre-sale campaign. The vehicle is offered in multiple variants, with pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 115,900 to RMB 135,900, accompanied by seven pre-order benefits. Positioned as a mid-to-large-sized all-electric sedan, the Fengyun A9 features a fastback design. Exterior-wise, the car adopts Chery’s “Lingfeng” (Soaring Wind) design language, featuring wind-blade laser-engraved headlights, side air intakes, and an active grille at the lower front fascia. Certain trims are equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR unit. The side profile showcases a sleek fastback silhouette, with a panoramic glass roof extending seamlessly from the A-pillar over the windshield to the rear window. The rear end integrates full-width taillights and an aerodynamic rear spoiler dubbed the “Jifeng” (Gale) spoiler. The wheelbase measures 2,900 mm. Inside, the cabin follows the “Yingyun” (Reflecting Clouds) design theme, highlighted by a full-width air vent, a large floating central touchscreen, and a dual-tone steering wheel. Physical buttons and a wireless charging pad are retained on the center console. The infotainment system runs on Lingxi Smart Cabin 2.0, powered by a 3nm chip, supporting features such as AI-powered karaoke without a microphone. All pre-sale models are fully electric, featuring a front-mounted single motor delivering a maximum output of 178 kW and peak torque of 275 N·m. Under CLTC conditions, the vehicle achieves a range of up to 655 km. It is also equipped with the Falcon 700 advanced driver-assistance system, supporting both urban and highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) functions.
