Xiaomi's yet-to-be-launched vehicle, the N90 (codenamed SkyNomad), has recently been targeted by online rumors across multiple social media platforms. Although the model has not been officially released, negative search terms such as "cause of fire," "accident details," "owner维权" (owner维权 translates to "owner rights protection" but is often used in context of complaints or protests—here rendered as "owner complaints"), "car explosion," and "crash scene" have already appeared in platform search bars. Verified investigations confirmed that the widely circulated crash video was AI-generated content, and Beijing Daily has identified it as false information. Xiaomi stated that such actions constitute malicious rumor-spreading, severely disrupting the company's normal operations. The company has begun collecting evidence and filing complaints with relevant platforms. Xiaomi emphasized that AI-generated content like this is driven by human manipulation, financial backing, and profit motives, warning that if such behavior continues to spread unchecked, it could pose a threat to all automotive brands.
