Renault recently unveiled its new flagship SUV, the Filante, in South Korea, positioning it as the brand's top-tier model. With a length of 4,915 mm and a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, the Filante rivals premium SUVs such as the Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7 in size. Built on Geely’s CMA platform—the same architecture underpinning the Grand Koleos (the overseas version of the Xingyue L)—the Filante is powered exclusively by Renault’s E-Tech 250 hybrid system, delivering a combined output of 184 kW and 565 Nm, with no pure internal combustion engine variant offered. The exterior blends muscularity with technological sophistication, while the cabin features an “OpenR Panoramic Display” comprising three 12.3-inch screens and a 25.6-inch AR-HUD. Additional amenities include either a Bose or Arkamys premium audio system and tri-zone climate control. The Filante will be produced at Renault’s Busan plant, launching in the Korean market in March 2026, followed by exports to South America and the Gulf region in early 2027—though it will not be sold in Europe. Both its name and star-shaped emblem pay homage to Renault’s legacy of luxury vehicles from the 1930s.
