On February 10, Baidu’s autonomous driving platform “Luobo Kuaipao” (Apollo Go) and Uber announced a deepened strategic partnership, planning to launch fully driverless ride-hailing services in Dubai, UAE, in the first quarter of 2026. This will mark Dubai’s first introduction of fully autonomous robotaxis and represents the first commercial deployment of China-developed autonomous driving technology in a high-end international market with stringent regulatory standards. The collaboration signifies global recognition of China’s extensively validated autonomous driving technology system, safety standards, and operational models by a leading international market. It also stands as a significant milestone in China’s efforts to advance its “AI + Transportation” strategy and export “new quality productive forces,” highlighting China’s innovative leadership and responsible role in the global smart transportation sector.
