On February 26, Mu Jun, Deputy General Manager of Lynk & Co Automotive Sales Co., Ltd., responded to a traffic accident caused by a voice command misoperation. The incident occurred in the early hours of February 25, when a Lynk & Co Z20 owner, while driving at high speed, attempted to turn off the interior reading light via voice command. However, the system mistakenly switched off all lights, including the headlights. As the road section had no street lighting, the driver—panicked and unable to promptly reactivate the headlights—ultimately collided with a guardrail. In response, Lynk & Co has swiftly optimized the voice control logic and deployed an over-the-air update: while the vehicle is in motion, headlights can now only be turned off manually, eliminating similar risks. Lynk & Co apologized for the inconvenience caused to the user and reaffirmed that safety remains its top priority.
