On the eve of 2018 Paris Auto Show, Renault released a new energy product, Renault K-ZE. On October 22, IIA learned from Dongfeng Renault that the Renault K-ZE, an A-class pure electric SUV, will be the first to enter China and become the Renault strategic model in the new energy market. The new model has a pleasant sports style with sleek lines, and the cruising range is over 250km.
The Renault K-ZE adopts the family appearance design of Renault. The grill, the roof, the rearview mirrors, the headlights set and the car doors are decorated with lots of blue elements. To show its EV identity, the grille adopts the enclosed design. And the combination of the grille and the headlights contributes to a wider visual effect and is full of power.
The new model is positioned as a compact SUV, and its configurations are pretty rich. The Renault K-ZE is equipped with multiple passive safety devices, such as front-row airbags, side air curtains and high-strength vehicle body etc., and also some active safety devices like automatic braking system and automatic headlights. In addition, the new model is equipped with rear parking sensor, rear-view camera and the central control display integrated with the navigation and online services, which will further improve the driving experience of the Renault K-ZE.
The Renault K-ZE has a dual charging system that allows users to charge either by the household outlet or public ones. Its cruising range is over 250km. The new model will be the first to enter China in 2019 and will bring the advantages of Renault in the new energy market, further implementing Renault’s strategy of "In China, For China".
