On January 17, Leapmotor Auto—a sub-brand under NIO—announced that it has deployed over 6,680 new batteries into its nationwide battery swap network, bringing the overall progress of its "Battery Doubling Plan" to 83.50%. Launched on December 5, 2025, the plan aims to add more than 8,000 batteries by mid-January 2026, increasing the number of Leapmotor batteries available at swap stations to over twice the original amount. The company expects to complete its full deployment target within January to meet heightened demand during the Spring Festival travel rush and support the growing energy replenishment needs driven by its expanding user base. Leapmotor Auto was established in May 2024 and achieved its 100,000th vehicle delivery in October 2025.
