On January 20, Li Auto announced its strategic targets for 2026: aiming for annual deliveries of 550,000 vehicles—a roughly 40% year-over-year increase—and seeking to "regain leadership in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) products." To achieve this goal, the company will prioritize the launch of a comprehensively upgraded next-generation L9, featuring significant improvements in dimensions, chassis, and battery. The EREV battery capacity will exceed 70 kWh, enabling a pure electric range of over 400 kilometers. In terms of intelligence, the new model will debut Li Auto’s self-developed M100 autonomous driving chip and adopt Qualcomm’s next-generation cockpit chip, the Snapdragon 8797. Its exterior design will also move away from the previous "cookie-cutter" styling. Additionally, the Li Auto MEGA will receive an annual update. However, due to delivery pressures surrounding its battery-electric vehicle (BEV) lineup, the company will primarily allocate resources toward EREV products in 2026, planning to launch only one new BEV SUV. According to industry insiders, the next-generation L9 alone is expected to exceed 100,000 units in sales.
