The mandatory national standard "Safety Technical Requirements for Automotive Door Handles," developed under the organization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, was approved and published on January 28 by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China. It will officially take effect on January 1, 2027. The standard aims to enhance the safety performance of automotive door handles and establish standardized design and manufacturing requirements to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers in various usage scenarios. As a mandatory national standard, all newly manufactured vehicles must comply with these technical requirements starting from the implementation date.
