On the 4th, China FAW Group Corporation and China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) announced in Changchun that they will carry out a specialized integration of their automotive testing businesses through an equity transfer. Following the integration, CATARC will hold a controlling stake in FAW’s Changchun Automotive Testing Center, aiming to create the world’s largest automotive testing institution. The new entity will offer over 6,000 technical services, achieving 100% testing and certification coverage for intelligent, connected, and new-energy vehicles. It will also establish a systematic technical support system to facilitate Chinese automakers’ global expansion and help China deeply integrate into the evolving global automotive standards and industrial landscape.
