Recently, the pre-production version of the all-new BMW i3 rolled off the assembly line at the Munich plant. Mass production is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026, with the European market being the first to receive the vehicle. A locally produced long-wheelbase version for the Chinese market is also planned. Built on BMW’s new NK platform, the i3 features integrated headlights and a signature kidney grille, complemented by a two-tier front bumper and active grille technology to enhance aerodynamic efficiency. Along the sides, an upward-sweeping character line and wide wheel arches accentuate its sporty stance, paired with seven-spoke star-shaped alloy wheels. In terms of powertrain, the model is expected to be offered in both rear-wheel-drive and i5 xDrive all-wheel-drive variants. The latter will feature dual motors (front and rear), delivering up to 469 horsepower and a range exceeding 644 kilometers.
