In a recent internal letter, Leapmotor COO Xu Jun clearly set the company’s 2026 sales target at 1.05 million units, emphatically stating, “If we sell even one unit more, I lose.” He announced a shift in operational strategy to what he called “eye-care mode”—reducing inventory, simplifying policies, and boosting profitability—to pursue efficient and steady growth. Xu emphasized that Leapmotor does not aim to be a “storm” chasing market trends but rather the “steadying anchor” of the industry. The company won’t gamble on creating hit products; instead, it ensures every model launched will be both successful and sustainable. He also encouraged employees to take reasonable rest and boldly innovate, promising that the company would shoulder any failures while individual contributors would retain credit for successes. According to data, Leapmotor delivered 596,555 vehicles in 2025, a 103% year-over-year increase. In December alone, deliveries reached 60,423 units, up 42% year-over-year, demonstrating strong momentum.
