On February 5, Xiaomi Auto announced via its official Weibo account that it has significantly lowered the safety mileage threshold for unlocking its advanced driver-assistance features from 1,000 kilometers to 300 kilometers. The company stated that this adjustment aims to allow users to experience and gradually become familiar with the driver-assistance system earlier, while also fostering essential safety awareness. Despite the relaxed unlocking requirement, Xiaomi Auto emphasized that driver-assistance is not equivalent to autonomous driving, and drivers must remain attentive at all times, closely monitor road conditions, and be ready to take control of the vehicle immediately.
