At this week's National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Show in Las Vegas, Nissan gave dealers an early preview of the highly anticipated all-new Xterra SUV, set for a revival. The rugged two-row off-roader rides on an all-new body-on-frame platform and features a "bold" design that blends elements from the original Xterra with modern styling cues, emphasizing toughness and strength through a large grille and a low-range four-wheel-drive system. According to Nissan executives, the new Xterra will launch in the second half of 2028 with a starting price under $40,000. Infiniti will also introduce a luxury variant based on the same platform. Additionally, this platform will underpin the next-generation Pathfinder, Frontier, and QX60, offering hybrid or plug-in hybrid powertrains. Separately, Nissan confirmed that current Altima production will continue through summer 2027, after which the Sentra will be the brand’s only remaining sedan in its lineup.
