Spy photos of the all-new Mitsubishi Pajero have recently surfaced. The upcoming model features a body-on-frame construction and is positioned above the Outlander, directly targeting the Toyota Land Cruiser. Its exterior design is rugged and boxy, highlighted by angular LED headlights, an upright grille, and off-road bumpers. The side profile exudes muscularity, while the rear may feature a split tailgate. Test vehicles have been spotted in Europe, some equipped with winter tires and panoramic sunroofs, indicating that cold-weather and high-spec variant testing is already underway. Powering the new Pajero will be a platform shared with the Triton pickup truck. It will primarily offer a 2.4-liter twin-turbo diesel engine producing 201 horsepower and 470 N·m of torque. A plug-in hybrid variant is also expected. The four-wheel-drive system will support seven terrain modes. The vehicle is slated to make its global debut in summer 2026, with sales commencing in major markets worldwide in early 2027.
