Motorola's next-generation wireless car adapter, the MA2, recently appeared in FCC certification documents. As the successor to the MA1 launched in 2022, the MA2 primarily addresses durability concerns—the original MA1 featured a non-detachable USB-A cable, rendering it unusable if the cable was damaged or if the vehicle upgraded to a USB-C port. In contrast, the MA2 adopts a modular, replaceable cable design compatible with both USB-A and USB-C, allowing users to simply swap cables to keep using the device. Additionally, the MA2 adds a physical toggle switch on its side, reportedly intended to streamline the pairing-switching process for users with multiple phones (e.g., couples), enhancing overall convenience.
