Yesterday afternoon, a rear-end collision occurred near the ramp of Qingxiang Expressway close to Nanning Railway Station in Nanning City. An electric vehicle crashed into an SUV ahead and subsequently caught fire. Footage from the scene showed the vehicle fully engulfed in flames with thick smoke billowing. Initial investigations suggest the fire did not originate from the battery but was instead caused by severe deformation of the front end of the car. Following the crash, the electric vehicle driver quickly evacuated to a safe area, while the SUV had stopped dozens of meters ahead. Traffic police arrived promptly to implement traffic control, and firefighters soon extinguished the blaze. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
