To accelerate the development of a comprehensive standard system for the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, the National Technical Committee on Hydrogen Standardization recently opened public consultation on 19 national standards, including "Quality Requirements for Hydrogen Fuel." This move aims to implement policy requirements outlined in documents such as the "Medium- and Long-Term Development Plan for the Hydrogen Energy Industry (2021–2035)" and the "Guidelines for Building a Standard System for the Hydrogen Energy Industry (2023 Edition)." The draft standards under consultation cover all segments of the hydrogen value chain—"production, storage, transportation, and utilization"—and include key specifications such as "Technical Requirements for Renewable Energy-Based Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production Systems," "Technical Requirements for Hydrogen Refueling Protocols for Fuel Cell Vehicles," "Integrity Management Specifications for Hydrogen Pipeline Systems," and "Technical Specifications for Public Data Collection at Hydrogen Refueling Stations." These standards will provide essential technical support and regulatory foundations for the high-quality development of the hydrogen energy industry.
