On the evening of February 25, a Lynk & Co driver, while traveling at high speed, used a voice command to turn off the interior reading light. However, the system misinterpreted the instruction and switched off all external lighting, including the headlights. Due to the sudden loss of visibility and inability to immediately restore the lights, the vehicle collided with a guardrail. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Following the incident, Mu Jun, Deputy General Manager of Lynk & Co Automotive Sales Co., Ltd., issued a public apology on February 26 and announced an emergency over-the-air software update: going forward, when the vehicle is in motion, headlights can only be turned off manually, and voice commands for this function will be disabled to eliminate similar safety risks. This measure aims to enhance driving safety and ensure more reliable control of vehicle lighting.
