On March 2, embodied intelligence company Vbot (Vita Dynamics) announced that Qin Hailong, former Chief Scientist at Qianli Autonomous Driving, has officially joined the company as Vice President of R&D. He will lead key research directions including world models, spatial intelligence, Agent OS, and humanoid robots, accelerating the integration of embodied intelligence into home environments. Qin holds academic credentials from Harbin Institute of Technology, National University of Singapore, and Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). With over a decade of deep expertise in autonomous driving and physical AI, he previously served as Senior Director of Autonomous Driving at NIO and Chief Scientist at Qianli Autonomous Driving. His experience is expected to significantly enhance Vbot’s robots’ perception and autonomous capabilities within domestic settings. Founded just one year ago, Vbot has already mass-produced its first product—the “Vbot Super-Powered Robotic Dog.” During its pre-sale period ending in 2025, the product garnered 6,540 orders, generating nearly RMB 100 million in sales—a record for premium-tier (priced above RMB 10,000) embodied intelligence products—and earned the “Best of CES” award at CES 2026. The global version is scheduled for release in Q2 2026, initially launching in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. In February 2026, Vbot initiated a public beta test involving over 1,000 users across 18 cities nationwide. The company has established R&D centers in Beijing and Shanghai.
