BMW has recently unveiled spy shots of its all-new all-electric coupe SUV—the 2027 iX4—undergoing cold-weather testing. The vehicle is expected to launch in 2027. The iX4 carries forward the front-end design of the iX3, featuring a steeply raked windshield and a sleek fastback roofline, complemented by angular rear windows and an integrated spoiler. Its rear profile closely resembles that of the iX3. Inside, the cabin is equipped with a 17.9-inch central touchscreen and a wraparound panoramic iDrive display. It also features a minimalist dashboard, a futuristic steering wheel, a 3D head-up display, and an intelligent personal assistant. In terms of powertrain, the U.S.-spec model will be offered in two variants: the 40 xDrive and the 50 xDrive. The top-tier 50 xDrive version packs a 108.7 kWh battery and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering a maximum output of 463 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 96 km/h in approximately 4.7 seconds, boasts a WLTP-rated range of up to 805 kilometers, and has a top speed of 210 km/h. The entry-level variant is expected to feature an 82.6 kWh battery, though further details remain undisclosed.
