BYD Seagull 08 Global Debut Imminent: Unveiled on March 5 with 800V Platform and LiDAR

BYD Ocean Network has officially released the teaser images of its new flagship sedan, the Seagull 08, which will make its global debut on March 5. The vehicle carries forward the design language of the Ocean-S concept car, featuring a closed-off front fascia, slender headlights, and a fastback silhouette. It is equipped with LiDAR, semi-recessed door handles, and a full-width taillight, delivering an overall look that is both tech-savvy and dynamic. Technologically, the Seagull 08 is built on an 800V high-voltage platform and features BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery paired with Megawatt Flash Charging technology—enabling a 400-kilometer range boost with just five minutes of charging. Its combined driving range is expected to exceed 1,000 kilometers. Additionally, the vehicle will be equipped with a rear-wheel steering system to enhance handling agility.
