SAIC Motor March Sales Dip Slightly as NEV Sales Fall but Exports Surge Nearly 50%

SAIC Motor recently released its production and sales report for March 2026: total vehicle sales for the month reached 375,870 units, down 2.56% year-over-year. Among these, new energy vehicle (NEV) sales totaled 113,101 units, a decline of 10.03% year-over-year, while exports and overseas base sales surged by 47.37% year-over-year to 121,346 units, delivering a standout performance. By brand, SAIC-GM, SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle, MAXUS, and IM Motors reported year-over-year growth, whereas SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC-GM-Wuling, and SAIC Charoen Pokphand saw declines compared to the same period last year.
