The display and test-drive vehicles of the Buick ZhiJing brand’s first SUV—the ZhiJing E7—have arrived successively at 550 dealerships across 250 cities nationwide. The model will open for pre-orders on April 10 and is scheduled to begin deliveries in late April. In terms of exterior design, the ZhiJing E7 continues Buick’s signature wing-inspired styling, featuring a closed-off front fascia and split-type headlights. The upper daytime running lights adopt a C-shaped design, while the lower main lighting units offer a dynamic sequential turn-signal effect. The side profile integrates semi-flush door handles and 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The vehicle measures 4,850 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, 1,676 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. At the rear, divergent-style taillights illuminate outward from the central BUICK emblem. Inside, the cabin embodies a “Hydro Aesthetic” design philosophy, featuring a panoramic wrap-around layout. Both seats and door panels are adorned with wave-like textures and upholstered in ultra-soft, skin-friendly materials certified safe for infants and mothers. The interior includes a silver-ion freshness-preserving cooler/warmer (operating between 2°C and 50°C), whose inner lining incorporates silver-ion antibacterial material. The audio system delivers 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos surround sound via 20 speakers—including four overhead speakers and a dedicated headrest speaker for the driver—and supports switching among four soundstage modes and three audio effect settings. Seating features four floating-layer seats, each with breathable, cloud-like cushioning on the backrest, seat cushion, and leg rest, supported underneath by an 11-layer progressive support structure. Certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100 for infant- and mother-safe health standards, the seats use eco-friendly, ultra-soft PU leather and high-density comfort foam. The front passenger seat is an Eames-inspired zero-gravity recliner with multi-angle electric adjustment, enabling a relaxed posture with both abdomen and legs positioned at 120°. All four seats come standard with three-level heating and ventilation. Front seats offer multi-point massage and power adjustment, while rear seatbacks provide seamless electric recline from 115° to 125°. The cabin supports multiple seating configurations, including zero-gravity mode, double-bed mode, single-passenger bed mode, and executive (“Boss”) mode. For safety, the active safety system leverages Momenta’s R6 large-model reinforcement learning platform, covering highway, urban, and parking scenarios. On the passive safety front, the body structure utilizes submarine-grade ultra-high-strength steel with a maximum tensile strength of 2,100 MPa. It also features child-protection side curtain airbags and a rear-facing child seat head-protection zone in the second row. Powering the ZhiJing E7 is the “ZhenLong Plug-in Hybrid Pro” system, delivering a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 235 km and a combined range of up to 1,630 km. The suspension system employs a preview-based RTD continuously variable damping setup, scanning road conditions 500 times per second and adjusting damping forces in real time.
