The FAW Audi A6L e-tron will officially launch on April 10, with the Audi Q6L e-tron family simultaneously debuting in refreshed form on the same day. Pre-sales for the vehicle began on March 25, offering four variants priced between RMB 313,000 and RMB 443,000. In terms of exterior design, the new model retains Audi’s signature large single-frame grille and features split headlight units. The upper section houses LED daytime running lights with eight customizable light signatures, while the lower section integrates main-beam and dipped-beam headlights into the grille. Each side below the headlights is equipped with a LiDAR sensor. At the rear, full-width taillights utilize second-generation OLED technology, supporting eight dynamic lighting animations and capable of displaying warning symbols during accidents or malfunctions. The Audi logo also features illuminated functionality at night. Measuring 5,073 mm in length, 1,950 mm in width, and 1,522 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,076 mm, the A6L e-tron is 52 mm longer than its combustion-engine counterpart, enhancing rear passenger space. The side profile features electronically controlled door handles and offers optional digital side mirrors. Inside, the cabin is equipped with an 11.9-inch instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch front passenger entertainment display (with privacy mode). All three screens are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The instrument cluster and central screen form a seamless dual-display layout, while the passenger screen supports both privacy and diffused viewing modes. The roof lining is finished in Alcantara material, and an 88-inch AR-HUD system projects vehicle speed, traffic signs, and navigation information onto the windshield. The sport-inspired seats come with a Bang & Olufsen sound system featuring 20 speakers, including headrest-mounted tweeters. Physical start/stop buttons are retained on the center console island, and gear selection is handled via electronic push-button controls. For intelligent driving, the A6L e-tron is equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun advanced driver-assistance system, standard dual LiDAR sensors, and supports highway and urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), multi-level memory parking, and active safety lighting communication functions. Built on Audi’s new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, the vehicle adopts an 800V high-voltage electrical system and rides on 20-inch wheels. The electric motors are imported from Hungary: the single-motor variant delivers a maximum output of 260 kW, while the dual-motor high-end version achieves a combined output of 405 kW and a top speed of 200 km/h. The battery, supplied by CATL, is a nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) ternary lithium unit offering a CLTC-rated range of 785 km. With a peak charging power of 270 kW, it can charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, and a 10-minute charge adds up to 302 km of range.
