In 2025, Pony.ai launched a Robotaxi autonomous driving test route in Punggol, northeastern Singapore. The 12-kilometer route connects two residential neighborhoods—Punggol Northshore and Waterway Sunrise—and passes through multiple lifestyle amenities and commercial areas. It also integrates with the public transportation network, offering direct access to MRT stations and bus stops. The full journey takes approximately 55 minutes, saving up to 15 minutes compared to existing public bus services. This pilot program, conducted in partnership with ComfortDelGro, marks the entry of Pony.ai’s Robotaxi fleet into real-world operations in Singapore. Starting immediately, invited residents from the Punggol community can participate in the service, paving the way for a broader public rollout. Pony.ai follows a “China + Overseas” dual-engine strategy. It has already achieved city-level unit profitability for its Robotaxi operations in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, China, and is now replicating its domestic operational expertise in overseas markets. In September 2025, the company partnered with ComfortDelGro to initiate its overseas expansion in Singapore. The launch of the Punggol route represents a significant step forward in integrating autonomous driving technology into everyday commuting.
