Xiaomi Auto’s factory-installed dashcam feature supports loop recording from four cameras: front, rear surround-view, left rear-side view, and right rear-side view. It does not use the in-cabin microphone. Users must insert a dedicated USB drive into the glove compartment and access “Safety > Dashcam” via the control bar at the bottom of the central display to enable or disable this function. In emergencies, videos can be saved in two ways: 1. **Horn-triggered save**: Once enabled, honking the horn automatically saves footage recorded shortly before and after the honk. 2. **Manual save**: Swipe down from the top-left edge of the central display to open the Control Center and tap “Dashcam” to save footage recorded shortly before the tap. If the dashcam function is off, the first tap enables it; a second tap is required to trigger saving. If already enabled, tapping directly saves the video. In the event of a severe collision, the system automatically saves 60 seconds of footage before and 30 seconds after the incident. This video remains preserved even if the vehicle is powered off and locked. Videos saved via the Control Center or automatically triggered by collisions are protected from loop-overwriting. When available USB drive space drops below 3GB, the system will overwrite older horn-triggered videos in chronological order. The dashcam stops functioning when the vehicle is powered down, but users can activate Sentry Mode to monitor the surroundings. The upgraded Sentry Mode on the new SU7 now features an external XiaoAI voice alert that verbally warns away potential threats when high-risk events are detected. This feature will be rolled out via OTA updates to all YU7 models in phases, depending on compatibility progress. Users can export videos via the central display by navigating to “App Center > Video Recordings”: select a video, tap “Send” in the top-right corner, and scan the QR code with a smartphone to transfer the file. Additionally, after enabling the digital car key, owners can share vehicle access with family members through the “Multi-User Access” feature in the Xiaomi Auto app and assign relevant permissions. Once family members complete digital key setup, enable parking assistance and external voice wake-up, and register their voiceprint, they can use the external voice command to initiate automatic parking exit. The new SU7’s front trunk supports UWB (Ultra-Wideband)-based感应 opening. When carrying a UWB-enabled smartphone near the license plate area of the front trunk (with no obstructions), the vehicle emits audio and visual alerts and automatically opens the trunk after 3 seconds. This feature can also be toggled on/off or have its opening height adjusted via “Settings > Doors & Locks” on the central display.
