Avita Launches New EV Sedans 12 and 06T, Building a Product Lineup from RMB 250,000 to 500,000

On April 8, Avatr Technology unveiled two new electric sedans in Chongqing: the all-new Avatr 12 officially launched with a starting price of RMB 293,900, and the Avatr 06T entering pre-sale at a starting price of RMB 229,900. Together with the existing Avatr 06, these models span a price range from RMB 200,000 to nearly RMB 450,000, forming a comprehensive sedan lineup. Positioned as a flagship luxury sedan, the new Avatr 12 comes standard across all trims with features previously reserved for million-yuan-class vehicles, including Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving System, Taihang distributed electric drive, a 35.4-inch 4K panoramic Star Ring display, a 25-speaker Meridian audio system, and nine airbags. The Avatr 06T, positioned as an all-scenario sporty sedan, offers dual-motor rear-wheel drive even in its base variant, delivering uncompromised performance, range, interior space, and intelligent driving capabilities. Both models are equipped with Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 4.1 intelligent driving system, an 896-line dual-path imaging-grade LiDAR, and the CAS 4.0 omnidirectional collision avoidance system. L2+ urban NCA (Navigation-guided Cruise Assist), highway NCA, and automated parking are standard across the board. Powering both vehicles is the Taihang distributed electric drive system, which achieves a working-condition efficiency exceeding 92.8%. The tri-motor version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.71 seconds. Additionally, the new Avatr 12 features an electromagnetic suspension system capable of stepless adjustment with up to 1,000 responses per second. Battery solutions are differentially supported by CATL: the all-electric Avatr 12 is equipped with a 98 kWh Qilin 6C ultra-fast charging battery, enabling a 30%–80% charge in just 10 minutes; the range-extended version uses a 52 kWh Xiaoyao super hybrid battery offering a pure-electric CLTC range of 350 km. The Avatr 06T features an 89.33 kWh 5C Shenxing ultra-fast charging battery, delivering a CLTC pure-electric range of 741 km. This product strategy leverages Changan Automobile’s expertise in vehicle manufacturing and chassis tuning, Huawei’s intelligent cockpit and ADAS technologies, and CATL’s advanced battery solutions—creating a tightly integrated technological ecosystem among the three partners. The segment is highly competitive, encompassing models such as the Tesla Model 3, Zeekr 001, NIO ET5, XPeng P7i, and BYD Han. Through technology democratization and scenario-based segmentation, Avatr aims to establish a differentiated advantage in the premium smart electric sedan market.
