Li Auto has unveiled the future product lineup for its L series, comprising two SUV segments—flagship and premium: the flagship six-seater SUV is the Li L9, the flagship five-seater SUV is the all-new Li L8; the premium six-seater SUV is the Li L7, and the premium five-seater SUV is the Li L6. The all-new Li L8 has appeared in the 406th batch of the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products. Positioned as a flagship five-seater SUV, it is scheduled to begin deliveries in Q3 2024. The vehicle’s seating configuration has been changed from the current six-seat layout to a five-seat setup. Its overall dimensions have increased to 5,135 × 2,000 × 1,800 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,045 mm (compared to the current model’s 5,080 × 1,995 × 1,800 mm and 3,005 mm wheelbase). Curb weight ranges from 2,740 to 2,830 kg. It is equipped with either 285/45R21 or 285/40R22 tires and offers an optional towing package rated for up to 1,500 kg. The new model continues the Li L9 Livis’ side- and rear-facing LiDAR configuration and offers dual-tone exterior color options. Powering the vehicle is a 115 kW range extender produced by Jiangsu Li Auto Power Technology Co., Ltd., paired with a 72.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack (using Sunwoda cells and Li Auto’s proprietary battery assembly). Under WLTC conditions, its all-electric range is either 335 km or 343 km, corresponding to fuel consumption figures of 0.23 L/100 km (curb weight: 2,740 kg) and 0.27 L/100 km (curb weights: 2,770 kg / 2,805 kg / 2,830 kg), respectively. Additionally, the vehicle supports numerous optional configurations, including different wheel designs, electric retractable running boards, electric retractable tow hitches, window trim and mirror base finishes in various materials, side/rear LiDAR units, rear badging, and dual-tone paint schemes.
