XPeng has announced that its new flagship full-size, six-seat SUV—the XPeng GX—will officially launch on April 15. Developed in collaboration with Huawei’s Qiankun, the vehicle features next-generation AI-powered digital projection headlights offering multiple intelligent lighting and interaction functions. These include dynamic arrow projection for lane-change assistance, million-pixel matrix lighting enabling high-precision adaptive beam masking, industry-first digital projection of following-distance warnings, SOS emergency signal projection (integrated with the driver incapacitation assistance system), customizable welcome lighting patterns, and video projection capabilities. The GX boasts a yacht-inspired streamlined exterior design, featuring a clamshell hood and an integrated clamshell tailgate. It will be available in two exclusive paint finishes: “Fjord Grey” and “Golden Sunrise.” The vehicle also debuts XPeng’s “Space Ceramic 24K Gold Badge,” claimed to offer hardness approaching that of diamond. Measuring 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm, the GX is powered by XPeng’s self-developed 800V hybrid silicon-carbide coaxial electric drive system. It adopts an intelligent dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout, delivering a maximum system output of 430 kW and peak torque of 695 N·m, equivalent to 585 horsepower. Built on an 800V high-voltage architecture, the vehicle is equipped with a 5C ultra-fast-charging AI battery, steer-by-wire technology, and rear-wheel steering. Wheel options include 22-inch multi-spoke wheels with adaptive floating logos, 21-inch sport wheels, and 21-inch low-drag aerodynamic wheels, all paired with front-rear staggered (“yuan-yang”) tire sizing.
