GAC Group Launches Smart Cockpit Product Line, Deepens Alibaba Partnership

GAC Group has recently restructured its organization, establishing a new Intelligent Cockpit Product Line led by Zhu Taiping. This move is part of GAC’s “Panyu Initiative” reform, aimed at enhancing in-cabin user experience. At the 2026 GAC Tech Day, Zhu Taiping announced that GAC has entered into a strategic, deep collaboration with Alibaba’s Qwen (Tongyi Qianwen). Leveraging the capabilities of the Qwen3 large language model, the partnership will optimize the interaction performance of GAC’s in-vehicle voice assistant and integrate a comprehensive ecosystem covering "dining, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping, and entertainment," enabling seamless connectivity between Alibaba’s core ecosystem and GAC’s intelligent cockpit.
