On April 14, Hangzhou Barton Brand Design Co., Ltd. issued a statement regarding the controversy over the Zhang Xue Motorcycle logo design, asserting that the logo was independently created by the company and that the relevant trademark has been filed with and approved for registration by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). The company stated it respects rational discussion, supports any party believing their rights have been infringed to seek legal remedies through judicial channels, and pledged to fully uphold its clients’ contractual rights. Previously, social media users posted side-by-side comparisons alleging that the Zhang Xue Motorcycle logo bears a striking resemblance—in terms of graphic structure, line direction, and overall shape—to an existing foreign logo, differing only in minor details, thereby raising suspicions of plagiarism. Publicly available information shows that the “Barton Brand Design” team confirmed in a March 2025 post that they were solely responsible for the brand’s entire visual identity project. Zhang Xue herself previously disclosed publicly that the total cost for the complete brand logo and VI system design was RMB 400,000, with the logo design included as part of a bundled service—effectively provided “free of charge.”
