Rivian and Redwood Materials Team Up to Build America’s Largest Battery Recycling and Energy Storage System

Electric vehicle maker Rivian is partnering with battery recycling company Redwood Materials to use recycled EV batteries in energy storage systems. Redwood Materials was founded by JB Straubel, co-founder of Tesla. The collaboration will create the largest battery-recycling-based energy storage system among U.S. automakers.
