The production version of the 2026 SAIC MG4 has been officially unveiled and is scheduled to debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24. The new model continues MG’s family design language and introduces two new exterior colors: Ice Crystal Blue and Almond Beige. The front fascia features elongated headlights and a black lower bumper, while the body retains conventional door handles and rides on 17-inch star-spoke aluminum alloy wheels. At the rear, it sports a spoiler and a full-width LED light bar. Inside, the cabin offers a “Starry Night Purple” color scheme, complemented by a dual-tone steering wheel and concealed air vents. It features an 8.88-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and upgraded with Sentry Mode. The front seats integrate heating, ventilation, eight-point massage, and memory functions, along with a new “Nap Mode.” The vehicle is equipped with Horizon Robotics’ intelligent driving assistance system. Powertrain options include a standard electric version and a semi-solid-state battery variant. The standard EV is powered by an electric motor delivering a maximum output of 120 kW and peak torque of 250 N·m, paired with either a 42.8 kWh or 53.9 kWh battery pack, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 437 km and 530 km, respectively. Additionally, the new semi-solid-state “Anxin” edition is introduced, and all variants come standard with VMC Straight-Line Blowout Control System, which helps reduce the risk of losing control during a high-speed tire blowout.
